01
The PTA reality
A typical PTA calendar swings between a 40-person committee meeting and a 400-person spring carnival. The volunteers running it are juggling sign-up links, paper flyers, classroom apps, and the principal's emails. By Friday afternoon nobody knows how many hot dogs to buy.
02
One link, no parent accounts
Doors gives the event one short URL (doors.events/e/spring-carnival) that you can paste into the newsletter, print on the flyer, send through Remind, or text in the room-parent group chat. Parents tap the link, type a name and an email, and they're in. No sign-up, no password recovery, no app store detour. The page they land on is themed for a parent group, a photographed header picked from your event type, or your own photo if you have one you would rather use. Not a blank form.

Custom questions for the parts that matter
Each event lets you ask whatever the day actually needs. The answers come back in your dashboard and export cleanly to CSV when the treasurer needs them.
meal counts
dietary needs
t-shirt sizes

Reminders so the headcount is real
Doors sends automatic reminders as the event approaches (about three days before, and again shortly before it starts) to everyone who said yes. A guest who is reminded twice either turns up or tells you they cannot, which is what makes the number worth planning around. For the mechanics, see our guide on how to track RSVPs online.
