Terms of Service
Last updated: May 12, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, creating an event, or submitting an RSVP through Doors, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
Doors.events is an RSVP and event coordination tool operated by Battle Plan Mil LLC, doing business as Doors.events ("we", "us", or "our"). The service lets organizers create event pages, share them via a public link, collect RSVPs, and send confirmation and reminder emails. Paid features may be added in the future and will be subject to the additional terms in Section 7.
3. Nature of the Service
Doors is a software platform. Doors does not own, operate, host, attend, supervise, manage, promote, or insure any event listed on the platform. Doors is not an event organizer, event venue, ticket reseller, payment processor for events, or party to any agreement between an organizer and an attendee, vendor, venue, or other third party. The relationship between Doors and the organizer is limited to providing the software described in these Terms.
4. User Accounts
Organizer accounts are created and accessed via a magic-link email flow. There are no passwords. You are responsible for keeping access to the email address associated with your account; anyone with access to that inbox can sign in.
Guests who RSVP to an event do not create an account.
5. Events and Attendance
Organizer responsibility. The organizer is solely responsible for every aspect of the event listed on Doors, including but not limited to: planning, promotion, supervision, safety, security, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, communication with attendees, insurance, permits and licenses, and the conduct of attendees and vendors at the event.
Cancellations and changes. Organizers may cancel, reschedule, or modify their events at any time. Doors is not liable for any loss, expense, or damage (including travel costs, lodging, missed work, deposits, or related expenses) incurred by attendees or third parties as a result of an event being cancelled, rescheduled, modified, oversold, or otherwise not occurring as advertised.
Attendee acknowledgment. Individuals who RSVP to an event listed on Doors acknowledge that Doors is not the organizer of the event. Any questions, complaints, refund requests, or claims regarding an event must be directed to the organizer, not to Doors.
Injury, loss, and damage. Doors does not attend, supervise, or inspect events. Any injury to a person, loss of property, illness, or damage occurring before, during, or after an event listed on Doors (including but not limited to slip-and-fall injuries, food-related illness, alcohol-related harm, motor vehicle incidents, criminal acts of third parties, weather-related incidents, or any other harm) is not the responsibility or liability of Doors. The organizer and the attendees bear all such risk.
Vendors, venues, and third parties. Doors is not a party to any agreement between an organizer and a caterer, venue, decorator, photographer, entertainer, transportation provider, or other vendor. Doors is not responsible for vendor performance, payment disputes, cancellations, or any other matter arising between an organizer and a third party.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Doors to:
- Host illegal events or activities, or facilitate any unlawful purpose.
- Harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate any person or organization.
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, or repeat messaging to people who have not requested it.
- Misrepresent who is hosting the event, or who the event is for.
- Probe, scan, or otherwise attempt to bypass security controls on the service.
- Collect payment from attendees through Doors itself; Doors does not process event-level payments and is not a ticketing or fundraising platform.
As the organizer of an event, you are solely responsible for the conduct of the event, the accuracy of the information you publish, and your relationship with attendees.
7. Payments and Subscriptions
Free service. The core RSVP service is currently available at no cost.
Paid subscriptions. Doors may offer paid subscription tiers ("Doors Pro" or successor plans). When you subscribe to a paid plan, you authorize Doors and its payment processor (Stripe, Inc.) to charge the payment method you provide for the subscription amount and any applicable taxes on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) until you cancel.
No refunds. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current billing period.
Chargebacks. If you dispute a valid subscription charge through your bank or card issuer (a "chargeback") rather than contacting Doors first at billing@doors.events, Doors reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account, recover the disputed amount and related fees, and refuse future service. Chargebacks initiated in bad faith may also result in legal action.
Price changes. Doors may change subscription prices with at least thirty (30) days' notice. Continued use of a paid subscription after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Taxes. Subscription prices do not include sales tax, value-added tax, or similar taxes. Doors will collect and remit applicable taxes where required by law.
8. User Content
You retain ownership of the content you publish on Doors (event titles, descriptions, custom questions, attachments, etc.). By submitting content, you grant Doors a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, and display that content for the purpose of operating the service: primarily, rendering your public RSVP page and the related transactional emails.
You represent that you have the right to publish the content you submit, including any names, photos, logos, or other materials. You are responsible for any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property claim arising from your content.
9. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Service Availability
Doors is provided as-is and as-available. We do not offer an uptime guarantee. We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service at any time, with or without notice.
We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Doors, Battle Plan Mil LLC, and their officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your event, including any injury, loss, illness, or damage occurring before, during, or after the event;
- Your use of the Doors platform;
- Your violation of these Terms;
- Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party; or
- Any content you submit to or through Doors.
This obligation survives termination of your account and these Terms.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doors and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service or from any event listed on the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100) or the amount you have paid Doors in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
Governing law. These Terms and any dispute arising from or related to them or to the Doors service are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Venue. Any legal action arising from or related to these Terms or the Doors service must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Harrison County, Mississippi, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Force majeure. Doors is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, weather events, pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, internet or telecommunications outages, or failure of third-party services.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
